Live In A Tuscany Villa On Your Italian Vacation

Have you been wondering where to go to enjoy your next vacation. Perhaps you may have been to Hawaii, Paris, and London already. Why not go to Italy for a change? If you happen to have been to Rome already and didn't like the crowds or the so called "touristy" feeling and you just want to go for a countryside that has beautiful scenery then you should visit Tuscany for your vacation. If you're the type of traveler that seeks and desires art and architecture well this region host's some of the best artworks available anywhere. Italy has twenty regions all in all and Tuscany is one of those regions that is found at the center Italy. Tuscany holds the most marvelous landscapes seen anywhere in the world that many artists have achieved several spectacular paintings using the landscapes of Tuscany as their backdrop for their masterpiece during the renaissance period. Florence is the capital city of Tuscany and did you know that about 35 per cent of Europe's most important artist's of the second millennium lived in Tuscany? and did you also know that six prominent places located in Tuscany are listed as UNESCO protected sites? These places appear on an International World Heritage Program list which catalogues such sites to offer protection because they are deemed to have outstanding cultural value. There are 851 of these sites listed worldwide and you can visit 6 of these while on your Tuscan vacation. These listed sites include historical centers in Florence, Pienza, San Gimignano and Siena, and also the Val d'Orcia and the square of the Cathedral of Pisa which has the famous bell tower The Leaning Tower of Pisa. Tuscany's historic centers are protected sites, mainly because of their absolutely magnificent architecture. There is a cathedral in Siena called Duomo that represents the great culture of the Italian Romanseque period. The Santa Maria del Flore cathedral in Florence is another magnificent example of beautiful architecture, while the Ponche Vencho Bridge is another glorious site in Florence that is an eye catching old bridge supported by stilts with several shops built along the sides. San Gimignano is a tiny town on a Tuscan hilltop surrounded by a stone wall and is known worldwide for its original medieval architecture. San Gimignano has been able to maintain its beautiful fourteen towers through so many wars and disasters. The towers are visible from many miles around and you will be able to visit these works of art on your Tuscan Italian vacation. Val d'Orcia is on the list of protected sites because of its truly beautiful landscapes. It gained its place on the list to protect the quaint villages scattered amongst the rolling hills and picturesque landscapes. This area is certainly one that should be on your list of places to visit while you are on your Tuscany vacation. One great reason you get tempted to visit Tuscany, especially Florence is due to the fact that this was the place where the great Leonardo Da Vinci was born and spent his younger years working in a studio of a well known Florentine painter. His world famous art works are Mona Lisa and The Last Supper it was said that his landscapes and his artistic style were developed while growing up in this region. There is also a little hamlet you can visit on your Italian vacation near the hill town of Vinci where Leonardo Da Vinci was born while traveling on your Tuscan Italian vacation.
