Photography and your Italian Vacation
By Anthony Coen
All about Photography and your Italian Vacation Taking some happy snaps while visiting Italy is important as it will make you go back on those fun memories and it can be a start of a coversation when you get back home. There are opportunities everywhere to take pictures when you are in Italy. Italy is known for the beautiful architecture, the outstanding landscape and the friendly people. Everywhere you turn there are just excellent photo opportunities. A good example of a photo opportunity is the Vatican which you will want to remember just how it looked when you first fixed your eyes on it, And then there is this huge Colosseum that you just have to photograph. You can also check out and have pictures of the amazing architecture and stuctures at Tuscany one famous building structure is the Leaning Tower of Pisa, quaint chapels and old Italian ladies are also nice thing to have a picture of. Here is some advice to remember whenever you want to get a picture of something or somebody to attain a picture perfect moment: First make sure that the object of capture is framed within your shot. Second you must check the edges and corners before you click that camera. In this way you can avoid some amateur mistakes like loosing half of the head in the shot. Thirdly you should have some pattern and symmetry most especially when you are taking pictures of architectural buildings. For example if you are wanting to capture a picture of, lets say a street scene, ensure that you have all the buildings on an angle in the shot. Having simple subjects and simple patterns makes the shot beautiful especially when natural light is used. The best time of the day to have a picture session is in the early morning and late in the day because unlike the human eyes, film or digital cameras sensor is more sensitive to light, in this way pictures you print out wont look like its too bright or washed out. Always remember that when you take a picture of people make sure that the light is always behind you so you wont get those squinted eyes on your pictures. Another technique to do on your photographs while you're on your Italian vacation is to change the point of direction of the subject - try to capture some portraits rather than just trying to make yourself fit onto the frames. Looking up also looks great in some instances or you can put the object on the corners and edges. It is also important to keep in mind that amateurs can also take some great pictures. And Italy is one of those places where you can have the opportunity to practise taking some pictures. It would be an enjoying thing to do while you are having your Italian vacation and pictures are always good souveneirs as they keep the memories alive.
