Italians are both serious spectators and fierce competitors. That's why sports and Italians go together just like spaghetti and meatballs! Italians also have special sports events that you might want to be updated on or might get you interested in what’s going on and you may decide to attend on one of those games. The popular sports in Italy are: soccer, rugby, and cycling. And during winter the winter sports are particularly popular with the locals and tourists alike. A visit to watch a sporting challenge is something you certainly will want to experience and you will be exposed to the Italian culture and the fiery passion that they exude whenever there is a sporting competition. Italians passion for soccer is very strong this is maybe their secret on getting 4 World Cup wins and in 2006 they were the World Cup series champions. With all of this, Italy was considered to be the second most successful team since the soccer championship commenced. The Italian team is second only to Brazil. So sports fanatics you sure don’t want to miss an opportunity to watch several soccer matches during you Italian vacation.
